I'm Brycen Wood. I run a vehicle wrap company called Summit Wraps with my business partner Landon in Utah. I've never written a line of code in my life. But in the last year, I've built 80+ business automation systems using Claude Code -- and took our company from $52K to $300K in revenue without hiring a single new employee.

How This Started
Summit Wraps had the same problems every small business has. Leads came in randomly. Follow-ups were manual. There was no CRM, no outreach system, no content pipeline. We were two guys in a shop doing great work but drowning in everything around it.
I didn't have $10K for an agency. I didn't have $8K/month for a developer. So I started talking to Claude Code -- describing what I needed in plain English -- and it built it.
The first thing I built was a lead scoring script. I described what a good lead looked like for our business -- roofing companies, HVAC companies, plumbing companies in Utah County with fleets of trucks. Claude Code turned that into a system that scores thousands of leads in minutes and tells me exactly who to contact. That one system replaced weeks of manual research.
Then I built an email drafter. Not a template -- an AI that reads each lead's actual website and writes a personalized email referencing their specific business. 739 personalized emails in one night. Then a CRM integration that syncs our entire pipeline with QuickBooks automatically. Then a content pipeline that analyzes video clips and composes reels. Then a full business website with SEO that got us ranking on Google. Then a dashboard I could check from my phone in the gym parking lot. Then an Instagram DM engine. Then a voice AI receptionist.
One system at a time, each one solving a real problem I was dealing with that week. 80+ systems later, our two-person shop was operating like a company with a marketing team, a sales team, and an IT department. Revenue went from $52K to $300K. We're targeting $600-750K this year. Same two people. Zero new hires.
The Moment It Clicked
There was a morning -- maybe 3 months in -- where I woke up, checked my phone, and my morning briefing was already waiting. It showed me the top priorities for the day, pipeline status, overnight activity, calendar, and habit streaks. All generated automatically at 7 AM.
That was the moment I realized this wasn't just automation. This was a completely different way of running a business. I wasn't managing tasks anymore -- systems were managing tasks for me. I was free to focus on the work that actually matters: talking to customers, building relationships, making the business better.
Every small business owner I talk to has the same bottleneck: they're spending 60% of their time on things that should be automated, and they can't afford the people or software to fix it. AI eliminates that bottleneck entirely -- if you know how to use it.
What I Learned
The thing nobody tells you about building with AI is that the hard part isn't the code. The code writes itself. The hard part is knowing what your business actually needs. That's the part I'm good at -- I've been running businesses, not writing software. I know what it feels like when leads slip through the cracks, when you're doing the same task for the 500th time, when you know there's a better way but you don't know how to build it.
The gap in the market isn't "people who can code." It's people who understand business problems deeply enough to describe the right solution -- and then use AI to build it in hours instead of months.
